Poker is played with a regular deck of 52 cards without Jokers. Poker can be said to be a game of luck and chance. Of course there are professionals in this game, but it will hardly help them to get better cards. There is a table with maximum and minimum bets next to the dealer. You should read this table before you start playing. Each player makes at least the minimum bet and receives 5 cards face down. After this first deal the first round of betting starts. To stay into the game every player has to call. You can leave all the cards or you can throw away some of them. You can hold all the cards as well as discard all of them. You will the same number of cards instead of those you have thrown away. After the second and final deal the betting is about to start. After everybody on the table is done with the betting the highest ranked hand wins and gets whatever is in the pot in the middle.
