Unlike other poker variations in Texas Holdem there are community cards, which are common for all players in the game. The community cards can be used by all players for forming hands. When playing Texas Holdem each player receives 2 cards face down. 5 down cards dealt on the table are called community cards. A round of betting is held after the deal and three of the table cards are turned up. Another round of betting follows. Then the dealer turns up one more community card and players make bets. After the last betting round and the turn up of the last community card the hands of the players are compared. The winning combination can be formed from the two pocket cards and five community cards. The player who has formed the best hand is the winner.
