Five Card Poker (USUAL VARIANT)
The number of players vary from two to ten. They play with one or two packs of 52 cards depending on the quantity of the
players.
Five Card Poker: Game rules
Each player should put a fixed sum of money on a box, marked on the cloth. Each player can bet within the limits of an agreed sum of money or he can make ‘pass’. The player can’t bet on the sum less than the bet of the previous player. All the players can bet in three
circles. After the third circle, the players who haven’t made ‘pass’ can change their cards i.e. they can discard any quantity of cards and get other ones in return.
After cards change they bet in three circles again. If nobody raises the bet within one circle, the cards are not
revealed. If the bets raised, the cards are revealed after the third circle and every next bet must be not less than the previous one. Then the card combinations of the players are compared and the player, who has the best card combination wins the whole
kitty. When this variant of the gamble is used in casino, the dealer runs the whole game. He hands out the cards, watches the correctness of the bets, counts the whole sum of a kitty and gives a win to the player who has the best card
combination. When two or more players have the same card combinations, then the superior combination is the one which consists of superior cards: from two card combinations of the same value, the superior one is the combination composed of superior cards; from two card combinations full the superior is the one which has more superior three; from two pairs of twos, the superior is the one which has the most superior
two. According to the player’s wish any card can be a
joker. Poker’s varieties differ from each other with the order of bets division, with the order of cards’ change and the amount of the cards, the participation of the dealer in the game. But the principle of the game is invariable.
